What it means
The engine is in limp mode, often due to a turbo, sensor, throttle or emissions fault.
What to do
Drive gently to a workshop and avoid overtaking and hard acceleration, as power is limited. Switching the engine off and on may clear a temporary fault, but get it checked.
This is general guidance. Symbols differ between manufacturers, so check your owner's manual, and have a red warning light looked at before you drive on.
