What it means
The fuel tank is nearly empty and only a small reserve remains.
What to do
Refuel at the nearest station. Avoid running the tank dry, as it can damage the fuel pump and leave you stranded, and diesels may need bleeding.
This is general guidance. Symbols differ between manufacturers, so check your owner's manual, and have a red warning light looked at before you drive on.
