Drive carefully

What it means

The power steering system has a fault, so steering may become very heavy or assistance may cut out.

What to do

Slow down and hold the wheel firmly; expect heavy steering. If you cannot steer safely, stop and call for assistance, otherwise drive carefully to a workshop.

This is general guidance. Symbols differ between manufacturers, so check your owner's manual, and have a red warning light looked at before you drive on.
